Year Information: The Class 37 was designed as a mixed traffic locomotive and is as much at home pulling passenger stock as MGR's. Their distinctive engine roar supplied by a 12-cylinder English Electric motor emphasised the power that these locomotives have. The Hornby example has two 37’s working ‘close coupled' - a sight quite often seen on the BR network. Power is provided by a ringfield motor located in the leading model with both locomotives benefiting from the weathered effect.
