Year Information: First Great Western Trains were one of the first of the new privatized rail operators to commence service in February 1996 on routes out of Paddington and Waterloo to the West Country and South Wales. HST’s like this one provide FGWT’s daytime services. Coaches are Hornby’s scale length Mk.3’s with running numbers exclusive to this pack. Coaches with other numbers are available to extend the train. The presentation of the locomotive and dummy power car is also special to the pack, including wheels blackened to match the new finish on the coach wheels. Model features working headlights that operate in the direction of travel. Note that this train is only suitable to run on second radius curved track or greater.
