2003 | The introduction of the High Speed Trains in their distinctive blue and yellow livery to the East and West of England services, which operated out of London in 1976, brought a new dimension to scheduled UK rail travel. With each power car having a Paxman Valenta 12 cylinder engine, speeds of 125 miles per hour were easily reached. So successful has the design been that over 25 years later these trains are still in full time operation. The model features working headlights on each tractor unit that operate in the direction of travel. Note that this train is only suitable to run on second radius track or greater. |
