Model Catalogue Information

YEAR INFORMATION
1994 Like the Western class, the Hymeks had a short life following BRs decision to standardise on diesel electric traction. But in their heyday they were popular and successful in both passenger and freight roles. The model is powered by a Type 5 ringfield motor.
1995 The Hymek class was introduced in 1961 to replace steam traction in the west of England and was used for freight and passenger work. Unfortunately, due to BRs standardisation plan on diesel electric traction, the Class was prematurely scrapped. The Hornby example in the later BR blue livery is powered by a Type 5 ringfield motor.
