YEAR INFORMATION
1994 The 2800 Class was designed by Churchward in 1903 for heavy freight haulage. The prototype of the model, which is in ex-works finish, is now owned by the 2857 Society and kept at the Severn Valley Railway in Shropshire. Tender powered by Type 6 ringfield motor. Special features include glowing firebox light and a smoke generator.
1995 Churchward, of the GWR designed this locomotive for heavy haulage. The model boasts a glowing firebox plus a smoke generator for greater realism. The 2800 is tender powered using a Typr 6 ringield motor. The full size prototype which is owned by the 2857 Society can be seen at the Severn Valley Railway in Shropshire.
1996 The 2800 Class were designed by Churchward, the GWRs chief engineer, for heavy haulage. The Hornby model is tender powered by a ringfield motor and features a glowing firebox when the locomtive is running. The full size prototype which is owned by the 2857 Society can be seen at the Severn Valley Railway in Shropshire.
1997 The 2800 Class was designed for heavy haulage by G.W.R.s chief engineer Churchward. The full size prototype which entered service in the early 1900s is owned by the 2857 Society and can be seen today at the Severn Valley Railway in Shropshire. The model is liveried for the period 1957 to 1965. it is powered by a ringfield motor, and has a firebox which glows when the locomotive is running.
