Note: The Royal Dutch/Shell Group of companies was created in February 1907 when Royal Dutch Petroleum and Shell Transport Ltd of the UK merged their operations. In 1919 Shell took control of Mexican Eagle Petroleum Company and in 1921 formed Shell-Mex Ltd which sold products under the name of "Shell and Eagle" in the UK. In 1931 Shell-Mex in the UK merged with British Petroleum to create Shell-Mex and BP Ltd up to 1975.
